Launchpad: a bunch of accessible good practices
Today good practices are legions in the WordPress community, but they often never end up being used by plugin developers due to various reasons.
With the open source framework wp-launchpad we aim to tackle this problem and make it easy to use for most developers to use good practices in WordPres plugins.
In this talk, you will learn which strategies we used inside the framework to make it simple for the developer starting out with Launchpad without many requirements.
However, as Launchpad is not a simple boilerplate tool, it offers more depth.
Furthermore, we also had to offer more advanced features without adding too much complexity, and you will learn in this talk how we made that possible so that both new users and experienced ones can benefit from it.

Making connections: the joy of organizing the local Community
At a WordCamp in 2011, Simon got in touch with other WordPress people for the first time. He started his first local Meetup one year later and has never stopped. Now, more than ten years later, after more than 200 facilitated in-person, online, and hybrid events, Simon looks back on one of the most rewarding and enjoyable hobbies he could have wished for.
Now he combined his own experiences with the knowledge and tricks of other meetup organizers. This talk aims to help anyone interested in starting local meetups, revitalizing dormant groups, and building strong and sustainable local communities.

Level up your website/shop block by block feature
The block editor has kicked off a new area of content management build into the core of WordPress. It’s not just the columns block, global styles and the font library. The new features like overwritten, synced block patterns or block build templates bring a lot of flexibility and a steep leaning curve.
For existing website builder and owner all the new ways to create interesting websites break old ways of doing things, and newcomers find it hard to find all the fancy features.
I want to show how to use blocks to create more interesting connections between content areas inside a website and reuse content parts and customize a website or WooCommerce shop benefiting users and SEO.
